Jessica, an equestrian and talent manager, spent years battling chronic migraines, insomnia, and fatigue. But one night, with a Lingo biosensor on her arm, she finally connected the dots — a surprising glucose dip at 3 am helped her reveal how her eating habits were silently impacting her sleep, energy, and overall performance.
Armed with new insights, Jessica made small but powerful changes to how she fuelled her body. The result? Deeper sleep, steadier energy, and 110 days off her migraine medication.

Tell us a bit about your background.
I’m a talent manager and an equestrian. I started riding when I was seven, and I’ve always loved working in sync with animals. Mornings start early feeding the dogs, horses, sheep, goats, pig, and chickens before I head to the show barn to train. I read, write, work a lot. I love being busy and disciplined.

Jessica’s days start early — with animals to feed and a full schedule ahead.
What challenges were you facing before Lingo?
I felt tired most of the day and just kept pushing because that’s what I knew. My health felt split in two: on one hand, I’m very intentional about what goes in and on my body; on the other, I’ve struggled with migraines and insomnia since I was around 10 or 11. I tried prescriptions, acupuncture, chiropractic care, and doctor visits. Nothing really worked out. As an adult, I’d wake up at 3 am like clockwork, and I couldn’t fall or stay asleep. It felt like constant jet lag.
What was your “aha” moment?
On day one with Lingo, I woke up at 3 am and saw a glucose drop in the app right then. I had this instant thought: that’s why I wake up at 3 am! That correlation changed everything for me.
“I woke up at 3, my glucose had dropped, and I thought: ‘That’s why I wake up at 3 am’”
What changes did you make after that insight?
I stayed glued to the app, just watching patterns. That first night, I saw my glucose drop at 3 am ... and it finally made sense why I kept waking up at that exact time. From there, I started learning what helped keep my levels steady. I realised I wasn’t getting nearly enough protein, especially in the morning. So, I started eating protein-packed breakfasts and snacking throughout the day to stay better fuelled. It sounds simple, but it made a huge difference. Not just to my glucose, but to my energy, sleep, and even my migraines.
“Something as simple as eating breakfast and snacking changed everything for my body and my glucose levels.”

Armed with her Lingo data, Jessica started tuning into what her body was really telling her.
“You can’t compare the energy that I had before using my Lingo biosensor to now — it’s night and day.”
How did those changes impact your life?
The difference in energy was night and day. I started sleeping through the night and, working with my doctor, I’ve been 110 days off my migraine medication.* I even got back on the podium for show jumping recently. Fueling smarter has made me feel more like myself — more refreshed, more social, and more excited to ride.
*Individual experience. Medication decisions should be made with a healthcare professional. Lingo is a general wellness product and does not provide medical advice.
What advice would you give to others starting their journey?
Small changes — like eating breakfast and adding protein — made a big difference. Pay attention to your patterns and fuel your body with intention.
“My life did a complete 180. I’m sleeping through the night and I’m 110 days off my migraine medication.”*
