  • You can now download your glucose data from the Lingo app with the V1.7.0 update, bringing together the glucose data from all the sensors you’ve used to date in one file.
  • You can generate a new file once a day, and the data will include your glucose values at five-minute intervals.
  • After downloading your glucose data, you’ll be able to easily save it and share the file with others.

Do more with your glucose data with the help of the new data export feature. With this, you can download a record of your glucose values up to the current moment.

You’ll now be able to take your raw data and do even more with it — like creating graphs or looking at the values behind your spikes and morning glucose levels

So, if you’ve wanted to save a record of your data and share it with someone (including a healthcare professional), you now have an easy way to do so. It's your health data – use it your way.

How to download and export your Lingo glucose data

Downloading your glucose data from Lingo on iOS is a simple process (Lingo is currently only available on iPhone).

Here’s how to do it for the first time:

  2. Go to your Profile page and scroll down to the Actions section.
  3. Select “Export your glucose data.”
  4. Select “Export data.”
  5. Select “Download file.”
  6. Select “Save to Files,” which will allow you to download the data as a csv file to a specific location on your phone.

When you select “Export data,” the app will generate a file containing all your glucose data to date, starting from when you first started using the app and your first biosensor. You cannot select a specific date range.

This file will then be available for you to download for one month. While the file is available, you’ll have the option of either downloading it again or generating a new file.

If you want to generate a new file with up-to-date glucose data, you can select “Export new file” at step 5 of the list above. Note: You can only export a new glucose data file once per day.

To download the same file again, select “Download file” at step 5 of the list above.

What to expect from your Lingo glucose data file

When you download your glucose data, you’ll receive it in the form of a csv file.

If you’re unfamiliar with this format, it’s a plain text file that separates data with commas. It’s a common format for moving data between different programs and platforms.

The data file will consist of glucose values with 5-minute timestamps. The file will not include food, workouts, or other logged data.

You’ll also only be able to see glucose values between 55 and 200 mg/dL. If your glucose rises or falls outside of this range, the timestamp will say “out of range.”

Frequently asked questions about Lingo glucose data

Here are the answers to some questions people might have about this feature:

What is the glucose range that Lingo shows?

The glucose range for Lingo is 55 to 200 mg/dL. If your glucose levels regularly fall above or below this range, another CGM may be a better fit.

How do you open your Lingo glucose data file?

If you want to view your data file on your phone, you can do so using spreadsheet apps such as the Apple Numbers app.

If you want to look at your data on a computer, again, any spreadsheet program will allow you to view csv files. You can send the file to yourself via an email or message attachment, with AirDrop, or transfer it from your phone to a computer using an appropriate cable.

Can I export my historic glucose data to Apple Health?

Yes, you can manually upload your historic glucose data to Apple Health. Once you share this data with Apple Health, it will remain stored there until you choose to delete it.

A final note from Lingo

With the latest Lingo update, you can now download a record of your glucose data.

The data will show your glucose levels from your first biosensor and when you first started using the Lingo app and include all your glucose data to date, with timestamps and glucose values for every five minutes. You're able to generate a new record once a day for you to export and share however you wish.

The Lingo Glucose System is intended for users 18 years and older not on insulin. It is NOT intended for diagnosis of diseases, including diabetes.

The Lingo program does not guarantee that everyone will achieve the same results as individual responses may vary. Consult your healthcare professional before making changes to your diet or exercise regimen or if you have an eating disorder or a history of eating disorders.
