EFFECTIVE DATE: December 1st, 2025
Lingo Sensing Technology Unlimited Company (“Lingo”) operates a customer referral program (the “Program”). Your participation in the Program, whether as a Referrer or a Referred Customer (as defined below), is subject to these Lingo Referral Program Terms (the “Referral Terms”), which at all times remain subject to the Lingo Terms of Sale available at www.hellolingo.com/terms-of-sale (the “Terms of Sale,” and together with these Referral Terms, the “Terms”). In the event of any conflict between these Referral Terms and the Terms of Sale, these Referral Terms will control with respect to the Program and the subject matter herein. By providing a Referral Code (as defined below) to a Referred Customer, or by using a Referral Code as a Referred Customer, you become bound to the Terms.
As part of the Program, Lingo may provide an existing customer (a “Referrer”) with a code or personalized link (a “Referral Code”) that the Referrer can provide to friends, family, or other people the Referrer knows and who may be prospective new customers of Lingo (each, a “Referred Customer”). A Referred Customer may use a Referral Code for a discount on a Qualified Purchase (as defined below) and, following a Referred Customer’s use of a Referral Code on a Qualified Purchase, the Referrer may receive a Reward Code (as defined below).
Qualified Purchases. The specific terms for each Referral Code will specify which Lingo products or service purchases are eligible for purchase with the Referral Code. If a Referred Customer uses a Referral Code to make an eligible purchase from Lingo’s online store (a “Qualified Purchase”), the Referred Customer will receive a discount on that Qualified Purchase. Following a Referred Customer making a Qualified Purchase, the Referrer will receive a reward code that the Referrer can use to receive a discount on a future purchase of a Lingo product or service, as specified in the reward code terms (a “Reward Code”). If the Referred Customer does not make a Qualified Purchase (e.g., the Referral Code specifies it only applies to a Referred Customer’s first purchase of a Lingo product or service, and the Referred Customer is making their second purchase), the Referrer will not earn a Reward Code for that referral.
Reward Codes are ordinarily distributed via email 24 hours after the completion of a Qualified Purchase, but may be delivered at a later time.
Each of the Referrer and the Referred Customer is responsible for any and all tax liability resulting from such Reward Code or Referral Code, respectively. Referral Codes and Reward Codes may not be applied towards any prior purchases, taxes, shipping or delivery charges. Reward Codes and Referral Codes are not transferrable, have no cash value, and must be used in the currency in which they were received. Reward Codes and Referral Codes may expire and may be subject to other limitations, as communicated when provided by Lingo.
Limited Quantities and Eligible Referred Customers. A Referrer may not earn more than 10 Reward Codes in any 12-month period. A Referrer may earn only one Reward Code per Referred Customer, regardless of the number of purchases that a Referred Customer makes. To receive multiple Reward Codes, the Referrer must send their Referral Code to multiple Referred Customers, and each such Referred Customer must make a Qualified Purchase using the Referrer’s Referral Code. A Referrer cannot refer themselves to earn a Reward Code, and purchases by Referred Customers who share the Referrer’s email address will not qualify for a Reward Code.
Limits on Use. Referral Codes and Reward Codes are promotional in nature. A Referred Customer can only use a Referral Code once, and only on a single order. Likewise, a Referrer can only use a Reward Code once, and only on a single order. Neither Referral Codes nor Reward Codes will be reissued on returns. Referral Codes shared with a Referred Customer by multiple Referrers cannot be combined. Reward Codes and Referral Codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
Personal Use Only. Referrers and Referred Customers may participate in the Program only for personal, non-commercial purposes. Referrers may not send their Referral Codes to people that the Referrer does not personally know or that the Referrer knows does not want Referral Codes sent to them.
Prohibited Uses. Any use of a Referral Code by fraudulent accounts, or by businesses, will disqualify the Referrer from receiving a Reward Code. If Lingo suspects that a Referrer or Referred Customer is abusing the Program in any way (as determined by Lingo in its sole discretion), the Referrer and/or Referred Customer may be excluded from the Program, any Referral Code or Reward Code issued pursuant to the Program may be forfeited, and the Referrer’s and/or the Referred Customer’s Lingo accounts may be suspended.
The Referrer must comply with all up to date “SPAM” laws and marketing regulations, which may include the laws where the intended Referred Customer lives. Any distribution of a Referral Code that could constitute unsolicited commercial email or “spam” under any applicable law or regulation is expressly prohibited and will be grounds for the Referrer’s exclusion from the Program and the termination of the Referrer’s Lingo account.
A Referrer may not engage in any misleading, deceptive, annoying, or harassing behavior when sending Referral Codes to Referred Customers. If anyone requests that a Referrer not send, or that a Referrer stop sending, Referral Codes to them, the Referrer shall immediately honor such request.
Account Termination and Remediation. Lingo reserves the right to close a Referrer’s and/or a Referred Customer’s Lingo account, and to require the Referrer and/or Referred Customer to pay any amounts the Referrer or the Referred Customer (as applicable) saved on purchases by using Referral Codes or Reward Codes, if the Referrer or the Referred Customer breaches any of these Terms, or is in violation of any law, statute or governmental regulation.
Privacy. We respect Referrers’ and Referred Customers’ right to privacy. To see how we collect and use personal information, please see our Privacy Notice. Participation in the Program may require a Referrer to submit personal information about themselves, or require a Referred Customer to submit personal information about themselves. Such information may be used by Lingo to contact the Referrer and/or Referred Customers regarding participating in the Program.
By using a Referral Code, a Referred Customer acknowledges that some of their personal information may be sent to the Referrer who provided the Referral Code as confirmation of the Referred Customer making a Qualified Purchase and the Referrer receiving a Reward Code. Accordingly, Lingo strongly advises that Referred Customers only use a Referral Code that they receive from someone whom they personally know and trust. Any personal information collected, processed, or used as part of the Program, including that of the Referrer and Referred Customer, will be used in accordance with Lingo’s Privacy Notice.
Program or Terms Modifications. The Program and these Referral Terms are subject to modification or termination at any time without notice to Referrers or Referred Customers, in Lingo’s sole discretion. If Lingo terminates the Program, all unused Referral Codes and Reward Codes will be revoked and forfeited at that time.
